Meet Your Vice President Of Human Resources

Kate Wentworth

Why did you get into senior living?

I loved hearing stories of a different time in American history from my grandparents. My grandfather had dementia in the later stages of his life. It’s given me so much empathy for our Moms and Dads and their families.

Who truly inspires you?

My father is my inspiration and my hero. His compassion for others and integrity exceed anything I have ever known. I have never seen him treat another person poorly, even when they have wronged him.

A thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I am a classically trained pianist and singer. I started taking lessons at 8 years old and began teaching classical piano at age 18 until 20.

Beatles or Elvis?

The Beatles, “In My Life” could easily be the soundtrack of my father’s and his family’s lives. I’ll never forget the row of photos at my grandparents’ house featuring the “Wentworth boys” and they all had Beatles haircuts. (Although now that I think about it… Lennon did say that without Elvis there would be no Beatles.) Still going with the Beatles!

How did you wind up at Inspired Living?

A former colleague told me that I absolutely had to come work for her company because the culture was amazing. I laughed and told her to let me know when they were hiring an HR Director. A few weeks later they were, and here I am.

What do you want your legacy to be?

Winston Churchill said it all when he said: “Positive thinkers see the invisible, feel the intangible, and achieve the impossible.” That is what I want my legacy to be.
