Meet Your Regional Director of Clinical Operations
Why did you get into senior living?
I have always admired seniors, even as a child I liked hearing their stories and learning about their living history, so I was naturally drawn to senior living. I started as a CNA, worked in Skilled Dementia units at nursing homes while I was achieving my nursing degree.
Who truly inspires you?
My Family, they inspire me to be better every day. My dad owned his own company when I was little and took me to work with him, he and my mom always taught me work ethics, no matter your role or title to always be the best at whatever position you are ... and I have always instilled that in my children as well. My children and grandchildren think I am the best so I aspire to be the best.
A thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I am shy, I am outgoing to cover how uncomfortably shy I am, I don’t like the spotlight and I am ok with working behind the scene and so that others can have it. Also, most people wouldn’t know I am a hunter and like to deer hunt with my husband and family.
Beatles or Elvis?
Elvis … especially the songs “Can’t help falling in love ” and “Love me tender”
How did you wind up at Inspired Living?
I have been in senior housing Leadership for over 10 years when I met Steve Benjamin CEO and felt his sincerity for really wanting to “take care of moms and dads”, I thought it was the perfect time to grow with a growing company and make a difference for associates and residents.
What do you want your legacy to be?
I want to look back and be proud that I was a good wife, mom, and grandma. I was available, caring, listened and lifted my family up to dream big. These are the relationships that matter most and I want them to know that I have been lucky to be part of their lives.
I hope that those who have known me will feel that I have touched their lives and encouraged them in some way that has left a lasting impression.
