Shandra Davis

Why did you get into senior living?

I worked for the State of Texas previously and was able to experience senior living from a quality/regulatory perspective. With that experience, my passion for quality services for the elderly and my ability to coach, train and mentor others, this job was tailor made for me. This job is a calling and I am grateful to be in service to so many others which makes it so rewarding and enjoyable.

Who inspires you?

My parents and both of my grandmothers have inspired me, along with so many others. They all worked so hard to provide and prepare us to do whatever we chose to do and the sky was always the limit. Excellence and pride in what you do were instilled in us from a very young age and I want to ensure that any community that I lead is so great, that if they need to move into senior living, they would be right here with me.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I am naturally an extreme introvert but at work, people would never know because I have learned to adjust over time and “turn it on”.

How did you wind up at Inspired Living?

After taking a few months to regroup after a tough two years of the pandemic, I chose a company that had a mission and values that were in line with mine. Inspired Living is both resident and staff focused and every person that I met along the way had the same passion for excellence as I do and I know that together, we will accomplish great things for all of the moms and dads that you have entrusted us to care for.

What do you want your legacy to be?

I want to leave anything that I have been affiliated with better than I found it and I want people that have encountered me to feel respected, valued and loved unconditionally.
