Michelle Boykin

Executive Director

Bio

Michelle Boykin is the Executive Director at Inspired Living at Ocoee, where she oversees overall operation of the community. She prioritizes the well-being and safety of residents and staff by adhering to the company’s mission statement, policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Michelle has an extensive background working with seniors. She started with mental health and then moved quickly into Assisted Living. Michelle has a passion and commitment to providing loving care to each resident, family and team member. She truly embraces the Inspired living culture of family centered compassionate care and wants to see seniors living their best life possible.

Michelle has been serving seniors for over twenty years, starting in Pittsburgh, where she got her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Duquesne University. Michelle eventually moved to Southern California where she ran communities up and down the southern coast while obtaining her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. Recently she has made Orlando her home and she absolutely loves it here!

Family
Michelle grew up in Pittsburgh PA with her mom, dad and two older brothers. Michelle Married young and had three children. Two girls and a boy. She recently moved to Florida where her oldest daughter lives with three of Michelle’s seven grandchildren. Now, when not working Michelle will go visit and hang out with her daughter and some of her grandchildren.

Hobbies
When not in the office Michelle likes to spend time serving with her church family by feeding the homeless, volunteering at nursing homes, or helping pack pregnancy kits for single moms. She has a serving heart, and it extends beyond the walls at work.

Inspiration/Why Senior Care
As a young child because of her parents work schedule. Michelle spent most of her day outside of school with her great grandmother whom she affectionately called Nannan. This bond helped build an affection toward seniors that carried throughout her life. Now she is often hanging out with her 80-year-old mom and 87-year- old great aunt.
