Meet Your Area Director of Sales

Why did you get into senior living?

Senior Living was a natural segue from my real estate career as I often referred families to various communities in my location. During the time when the Colorado Real Estate market experienced record foreclosure’s and closing banks, a local community reached out to me and asked me to consider a sales director position. The rest is history!

Who truly inspires you?

My mother is at the helm of people that inspire me. She has had to overcome some unspeakable experiences and yet she rises to the occasion with grace, and love. She taught me to always love myself for being just who God created me to be and to never, ever compare myself to anyone. Her strength, wisdom and love for people is truly admirable.

A thing people would be surprised to know about you?

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been intrigued by the aging process and loved spending time with elderly people. It was always exciting to me to be able to ask them questions and hear their stories. I honestly believe that aging is a gift from God, we should all be so blessed to one day live to as long as the moms and dads that we are charged to serve.

Beatles or Elvis?

Both! Beethoven or Mozart, Michael Jackson or Prince, Joe Sample or Bob James? I have a great appreciation for all their musicianship, different but equally gifted

How did you wind up at Inspired Living?

A recruiter contacted me regarding a sales director opportunity in Sugar Land, TX. I researched the company, and then aggressively pursued the opportunity to join the Inspired Living team because of my previous impression of Steve Benjamin. My first experience in senior living, mentioned in the first question above, was at a Horizon Bay community located in Denver CO where I served for almost 7 years. While I was moving and rearranging furniture at the community, in walks a very tall man that I had never met. He took off his jacket, rolled up his sleeves and grabbed the opposite end of the sofa. I was so impressed by this without even knowing who he was. I later learned that he was Steve Benjamin, CEO. I have never forgotten his demonstration of leadership by example.
