Meet your Executive Director
Marie Letellier, LPN
Hello, my name is Marie Letellier. I am a lifelong resident of the great city of Kenner. I have been in healthcare for 32 years.
During my clinical rotation of a nursing home, I realized how much I loved working with the elderly. Seniors are living breathing history and can tell you so much more then what is in any books.
I worked in a skilled nursing facility until 2005, then I moved into an Executive Director role for an assisted living facility. I have been overseeing assisted and independent living facilities ever since then.
I have two sons Steven and Cory, and three grandchildren Angelle, Breanna, and Julian. My dad, grandfather and several uncles were all JPFD. I spent many holidays, and hurricanes in the fire station. That is where I started my love of cooking.
I spend most of my spare time in the kitchen making big meals for my family. Family time is very precious to me, something you cannot take for granted. I asked my dad when I was a young girl why did he run into burning buildings when everyone else was running out. He told me it takes special people to become a fireman, policemen, or nurse. I guess I inherited that gene from him, because I truly do believe that it is true.
I absolutely love what I do, and I believe to lead by example. I believe kindness and respect goes a long way. A smile is truly the shortest distance between two people.
