Validus Senior Living has welcomed Zachary Zerbonia, DPT, PT, MBA/MHA as Chief Operations Officer. Zachary is a seasoned and well-respected operational leader in the senior living industry. He brings extensive experience and multifaceted skill sets to Validus as they gear up for a period of rapid growth.
Zachary entered the healthcare sector over 20 years ago when he became a licensed physical therapist. He has an impressive educational background with both clinical and business education including a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University’s Sargent School of Health and Rehabilitation Services and a master’s in business administration and health administration from the University of Phoenix. In addition to leading multi-disciplinary rehabilitation teams in the early part of his career, he offers varied and extensive multi-site management of physician practices, home health agencies and outpatient rehabilitation clinics.
Most recently, Zachary served as Chief Executive and Strategic Officer of Aventine Hill Communities, a division of Palatine Capital where he directed development, stabilization and growth of their senior living portfolio. Prior to Palatine, Zachary served as the Senior Vice President of Brookdale Senior Living where he operated the largest senior living market in the country encompassing 80 communities in Florida with revenue in excess of 350M.
His responsibilities as an owner, operator and as a clinician, in both the public and private sector make him uniquely qualified to lead the organization.

Zachary joined the team on April 29, 2019. He is currently on the road visiting each community with Validus’s Chief Growth Officer, Rebecca Wheeler who heads the Sales and Marketing departments, and Chief People Officer, Margaret White who oversees the Talent and Clinical departments.
Zachary’s exceptional ability to effectively operate and scale organizations will position Validus Senior Living as the industry leader of superior service to moms and dads.
