Welcoming Rebecca Wheeler as Validus Senior Living’s Chief Growth Officer

[Jan. 23, 2019: Tampa, FL] – Validus Senior Living is excited to announce its newest team leader, Rebecca Wheeler. Wheeler has accepted the Chief Growth Officer position and will start on February 4. Wheeler comes to Validus from Brookdale Senior Living, where she oversaw Sales and Marketing efforts for 260 communities across nine states, including Texas and Florida, the two largest senior living markets in the country.

Wheeler oversaw approximately 23,000 units across all product lines which generated $1 billion in annual revenue. Additionally, she managed an $8 million advertising budget, more than 30 sales leaders, and approximately 300 community sales associates.

“We are incredibly pleased to have someone as experienced and talented as Rebecca join our team,” said Validus Senior Living CEO Steve Benjamin. “In her role as Chief Growth Officer, Rebecca will leverage her analytical background and commitment to excellence to continue to position Validus as a leader in the senior living field.”

During her more than 25 years in the senior living space, Wheeler has earned a reputation for building successful sales teams. She believes in equipping her sales associates and helping them reach their goals. She has been recognized with multiple awards for excellent service and has worked on many exciting initiatives including dashboard development, central intake and testing various lead scoring systems.

Wheeler has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Tulsa and will graduate in February 2019 with an MBA from the University of Texas at Tyler. In addition, she serves on the University of Texas at Arlington Healthcare Administrators Advisory Board, which seeks to enhance the experience of those pursuing a Master’s in Healthcare Administration.
